Suspect in indecent exposure case due in Sutter court

A Sutter County indecent exposure case is back on track after more than a year.

Jose Cristobal Soto is charged with exposing himself and masturbating in March of last year to multiple people, including several teenage girls, while driving on the Franklin Avenue side of Yuba City High School, the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office said.

Assistant District Attorney Jana McClung said Soto, 35, was on the run for nearly a year before Yuba City Police scooped him up late last week at his home in the 1500 block of Hazel Avenue.

Soto remains in custody without bail stemming from a suspected immigration violation.

He is due back in court March 1 for arraignment in Sutter County Superior Court.
