Hobbies, interests: I like camping, traveling and hiking.

Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat and Channel 3 news.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I was born and raised here.

What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? I like that it's centrally located, close to the mountains and ocean, and I love the fresh fruit in season around here.

Where would you like to retire? Port Townsend in Washington — it's similar to Lake Tahoe. I really enjoy visiting there.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard at the L.A. airport. We were getting on the same plane. He had a really nice set of luggage.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? That both grandbabies that are due will be healthy.

What would you do with a million dollars? I'd help out charity programs, because that's more money than one person can spend. I would do some traveling on that too.

Whom do you most admire? My mother, just because she had a lot of strong values.

What is your dream vacation? I love the Mediterranean area. I've been there once, on a cruise, and would like to go back and see more of it.

Tell us about a significant event in your life: Becoming a grandparent was awesome.

Favorite places in the area: I like the bike trails and levee trails — I like getting out in the fresh air.

What is your dream job? I'd be a travel guide, taking people on tours.

What would you change about the community? I'd like to do something to support the economy here, create more jobs.

What is your pet peeve? When I see adults using foul language at their children. Sometimes you see that at the store, and it gets my blood boiling.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? At one time I wanted to be an archeologist.

Favorite movie: "Roman Holiday."

Favorite actress: Audrey Hepburn.
