Occupation: Yard duty at Covillaud School — I retired from Mervyn's after 25 years.

Hobbies, interests: I love fishing.

Where do you get your news? Television.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I'm a lifelong resident. I'm part of the Pogue family, part of the Marysville pioneer families that include the Churchills, Burns and Kingsburys.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I saw wrestler Bobo Brazil when I was a little kid. My father used to take us to the community hall where Jack in the Box is now, at Eighth and D streets in Marysville.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Just to be happy.

What would you do with a million dollars? Give it away. I've never been used to a lot of money and I don't want it now.

Favorite television show: "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Whom do you most admire? Covillaud principal Mr. Escheman. He's a good person.

Where is your dream vacation? At the ocean, where I could relax.

What are your favorite places in the area? I like to walk along downtown Marysville.

If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? The parks. I would get them cleaned up and get some restrooms in them.

Pet peeve: People talking too much.
